IPS Club Affiliation Information

Thank you for your interest in the International Parrotlet Society. Below are a list of our club affiliation levels. The International Parrotlet Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding Parrotlet Specialty Shows in conjunction with the Society of Parrot Breeders and Exhibitors (SPBE) and the North American Parrot Society (NAPS) organizations. In order to have a IPS show, you must also be an IPS Affiliated Club. Parrotlets often make up the a large part of the Parrot Division at these shows. Judges will judge both parrotlets and other parrots in their show and then the parrotlets will be separated into a separate Parrotlet Division.

The general Parrot Division will be eligible for SPBE and NAPS points and the IPS Division will be eligible for IPS Points that go towards IPS Exhibitor of the Year and other special yearly awards. IPS Points will also go towards making your parrotlet an IPS Champion and Grand Champion. As parrotlets gain in popularity, the IPS is looking towards showcasing them separately and congratulating members who are working towards the International Parrotlet Society Standard. Both SPBE and NAPS are using this standard.

**IPS will advertise IPS Specialty, Divisional, and Class C and D Affiliations on the Calendar page of the IPS Journal and on our web-site if affiliation occurs at least four months prior to show. Specialty Shows will receive a full page advertisement in the IPS journal and on our web-site if the affiliation occurs at least four months prior to show.
